I'm having problem with keeping the humidity up. I have a water dish, a humidifier from petco, and I mist but the humidity is always around 50% if I'm lucky. Can someone please give me some advise to fix this problem.

THANK YOU

Do you keep part of it cage covered? That should help.

First of all, what kind of scorpion is it? You may not need high humidity at all.

Second of all, any humidity increase from misting lasts about as long as it takes for you to put away the mister. Your best bet is to either:

A. Reduce the ventilation in the tank by closing off some of the cover with saran wrap or even a wet towel.

B. Keep the substrate moist.

If you are following the above suggestions and are still getting only about 50% humidity then your gauge may be hosed. I'd hold it in a steamy shower if you need to test it. Humidity should go to about 100% if you do that.

As Scott stated, species is also important. Many species would do well at the humidity levels you indicated. One the other hand, if you have an Emperor or Heterometrus sp. you are going to want higher humidity levels.
