I have seen many people who sell Phidippus Regius on their own websites. Just search up “Buy Jumping Spider” on google and explore the options. Most popular Jumpers for sale are P. Regius and other Phidippus species. luckily for you! Just make sure you read reviews before buying! 👍🏻
I have seen great videos on pet jumping spiders, they have amazing Intelligence, a good pet in my opinion : )

So far I’ve loved every second having my Jumper. And I’m not a pet person!
I think their a great pet choice, even for someone not into pets. I bet your spider will do just fine, good humidity + good ventilation = happy spider : )

I'm all the way in Kansas so that would be quite a ways away, but thank you for the offer! I've been trying to look for places online to purchase some slings or juvies, so far I found someone on Etsy selling P. Regius but I haven't seen any other sites. Starting to wonder if I should just wild catch one.

Thank you, do you have any experience with leaves? I'm curious about using fake leaves in an enclosure vs natural, I wouldn't want the spider to get any parasites/unwanted visitors, or the leaves to get moldy if they were real. I know though that some fake flowers/leaves bleed color when wet, worried if misting the tank would cause it to run and be poisonous to a spider.
Anything you put in live ie plants sticks bake in oven 15 min on 250. I have dollar store fake flowers and plants. Good rule of thumb is check it first wet it see if it bleeds and if it has a weird odor it’s probably not good !

It is against Etsy’s seller rules to sell live animals like jumping spiders, so I don’t think it would be wise to buy something from someone selling illegally. Not that it would be your fault though, the seller should (and probably does) know better.
I had no idea! Thanks for the heads up. No wonder I was having a tough time looking. Thanks for the recommendations as well! I'll definitely have to look around!

Oh great! I was worried the oven may be too hot for leaves but it's good to hear that it could work! Also nice, thanks for the advice about the fake flowers/plants!

Yea I mean def keep an eye I stopped using substrate and sticks after my first spood buggy died I found mold on his favorite sticks but it could’ve just been old age and probably unrelated but how fast from misting even not misting of the substrate or sticks that it just real stuff seems to mold all I have that isn’t fake now is a couple pieces from some wood knots I found when they took down a tree in my neighborhood a while back and sea shell my daughter insisted on using that she picked from our first trip to the beach years ago. I wash everything with dish soap and water dry it then gorilla hot glue gun the stuff to the enclosure let dry a day or two and it’s all been fine both ny emerald male and female have that stuff mixed with the fake moss and some random fairy garden cats and wishing well

When I owned jumpers, I used to decorate their deli cup containers with all sorts of stuff; nuts and bolts, old clothes pegs, pebbles and whatever I could find. One of my jumpers was so comfortably with her "nuts and bolts" enclosure that she made a nest among the pile I had fastened into place with a hot glue gun. You don't really need much to keep them happy, just a few twigs or things to climb on. Just be creative.

Also, as many people have said, substrate isn't really necessary.

Yea we especially my wife were worried so I just picked the brains of a couple Etsy enclosure makers about the best glue and does and donts. My wife is also part of a Facebook group so I just ordered the stuff and took some toys my daughter didn’t want and random crafts from around the house and went nuts with the gorilla glue gun. I originally had some anti mold substrate and never had a problem just the natural twigs and what not kept becoming moldy. Once our first little guy passed I swore off substrate all together because when I took his favorite sticks and fake plants out the real sticks had a little mold. So besides the acorn and wood circle which are less likely to mold everything else is fake. One of our girls the web master just sits in her very elaborate hide she built and she’s the only one with substrate. If she ever comes out long enough I want to put her in a temp enclosure and upgrade her old one not disturbing any webs but I’m not sure if she’s molting or what and don’t want to disturb her.
Just curious - were you concerned about any fumes from the gorilla glue? I thought about making hides from natural walnuts and acorns but I didn't want to chance using glue. So the hides, feeding dish etc is secured with magnets.

Anti mold substrate? Sounds like a dead thing.

if youre not drowning the enclosure, which you shouldnt, normal substrate is fine.

id go with substrate. Easier to add a bit of moisture if it gets dry inside. It shouldnt mold with all the ventilation you have.

prey can get under the paper towels and hide. Paper towels can mold the black bad stuff. Not substrate.

substrate can accomadate dry springtails. But you shouldnt need them if you do maintenance. I find susbtrate cleaner and easy to maintain.

if mold happens, you spoon it out, the end. You will be replacing the paper towels more often then substrate. And its not that good looking either.

a little mix of coco and peat, to balance out the ph, helps keeping mold in check. Susbtrate might not be essential, but youll have more cleaning to do if the enclosure gets poop and stains.

i dont see why susbtrate isnt a good thing.
