How to stop terrestrial T from climbing glass?

Can't stop em from climb'n, but add enuff substrate to lessen the distance for the Inevitable Fall.

This was very usefull for me.

I’ve used Exo’s with terrestrials. They just need to be set up differently than arboreals. T’s will climb. There is no stopping them. Make sure your distance from substrate to lid is no more than 1.5x DLS and no mesh lids that T’s can get their tarsal claws stuck in.

Yeah I bought the replacement T Cribs acrylic tops for them but would love to see how you setup your EXO. You have any photos of how you did it?

they litteraly posted where to see those enclosures in their previous post. This might come out very blunt. It is what it is.

Grease the sides

Shallower box and/or more substrate is the only way.

Whether it chooses to climb or not is beyond our control. You can't stop your tarantula tarantulaing.

My LP is occasionally hanging on the side of her enclosure. I just have enough soil in it that if she falls she doesn't have far to go. I'd be heartbroken if any of my tarantulas were hurt, so I just make sure they are close to the ground. As said already, lots of soil in an enclosure that doesn't have a lot of height

It helps, depending on size on enclosure, to keep one spot with slightly moist substrate, and the rest dry. That way tarantula can chose where to go.
