It okay to pull egg sac in the mom even its not 21 days to be exact i've pull my sac out in 3 days
It's better to just wait it out for most tarantula species. Also what species of tarantula is it with an egg sac? Some species have faster developing eggs than others. It okay to pull egg sac in the mom even its not 21 days to be exact i've pull my sac out in 3 days
Based solely on literature and the written experiences of others, if the female can be trusted with the sac, leave it with her. Let her hatch the sac and bring forth the babies. But you've do this stuff few time right?? Is your sac survived??
Thank you but ive incubated my eggs already so my egg will survive??Based solely on literature and the written experiences of others, if the female can be trusted with the sac, leave it with her. Let her hatch the sac and bring forth the babies.
If there is a reason to pull the sac...and there could be lots of reasons...try to let the female keep the sac for at least 30 days...then pull the sac. At 30 days you should start seeing the end of Eggs With Legs (EWL) and the beginnings of the 1st instar slings.
With some species you can leave the slings together until the 2nd instar, then you separate the slings. With other species, the slings can be kept together till the 3rd instar.
I hope that helps.
Well my friend, from what you've posted...you may have pulled that sac weeks earlier than suggested.Thank you but ive incubated my eggs already so my egg will survive??
Thank you. I hope its successful and thank youWell my friend, from what you've posted...you may have pulled that sac weeks earlier than suggested.
Time will tell if you are successful.
Share your outcome with us, we all like to hear about breeding and hatching.
I was gonna say this too. I havent bred the species myself, but i think most/all of the african species make a hammock sac. so technically the sac could be pulled at any time, however i think even though it could be pulled early, it isnprobably better to wait a little longer to pull, and i would have suggested hanging the sac i an incubator rather than opening the sac.I believe this species will lay their eggs into a hammock-like cocoon, which means they aren't rolled by the mother during development. She'll just stand guard nearby.
