probably just genetics, their metabolism and how well they are suited to the particular environment we provide
each one is a little different but the main factors are still temperature, feeding and the environment in the enclosure.
anyway, i just hached an entire sack of Lasiodora parahybana and they take their sweet time to go from L1 to the Sling stage. Its been more than a month now. Still fairly quick growers when compared to some of the classics like B. hamorii or G. rosea.
