How much space should be around ventilation holes?

Hi,

I've just bought a juvenile Caribena Versicolor, it's about 7-8cm. I'm happy with the amount of ventilation in the enclosure and the cross flow. My one question how much space needs to be around the enclosure to ensure good ventilation? The enclosure is currently on a shelf with most of the ventilation on top or in the middle of the enclosure. There's about a 2 inch gap between the top of the enclosure where most of the holes are and the next shelf up. Is that enough space for good ventilation?

It should be fine. I have many enclosures that sit right next to each other, less than 2 inches apart. I’ve wondered about that being a ventilation issue before, but it hasn’t seemed to make a difference. As long as the holes aren’t actually being covered, it’s probably ok.
