A.Avic right? i saw a small pink toe for sale for 23.99 so around 25 USD after tax... its only like 2" but around houston i have a hard time finding tarantulas at all... this pet store always has very over priced prices so how much does one regularly cost?...BUT it on dry substrate, i didnt even see water in the water dish, it was in an exterra screen tank which was nice but it was hiding all the way at the top corner so im assuming it doesnt like its enclosure... overpriced or not i think im still going to get it... what do ya'll think?

That's not to bad, a little overpriced, but if that's all you can find around you don't have much choice cause if you find one online that's 15 or 20 bucks, after you payed shipping which is 25 or 35 it would be more, so I say go for it, there great spider's.

From a pet store, that's probably an ok deal. They do come cheaper online (about $20 for 3-4" indivs)...but then there are shipping costs.

I payed $25 for a 2.75" Avicularia avicularia from a petstore. They are cheaper online, petstores are usually overpriced.

It's been mentioned already but I'll state it again, shipping online is the difference that makes it a decent deal unless you plan to buy more than one.

What age is that? For an adult, it's a good deal for a pet store. I saw an adult avic avic for 60cad! Of course, it was female, making it more expensive. Buying it online, or directly from a breeder (I'm sure there are many people on the boards that could sell you one) is a lot cheaper. About the spider being in the top corner of the cage, A. Avicularia typically make a thick web at the top of the enclosure to hide in, so sadly this T is not the best show spider.

Try buying any T in Ireland!

Seriously overpriced. My G.rosea was 50Euro. I still think she is great though.

The is a really nice Haplopelma of some kind in a store near me but they want 80euro for it! Its legs have a cool purple sheen to them. Really nice but kept in a Cricket Feed box that its nearly the size of (4 inch long).:(

You lucky you get avics for 25$ They are 60euro here.

Leads me to another point.

Anyone sell T's to me in Ireland?

Please!

Thanks:worship:

i think maybe a 2.5 gal. or a 5 gallon would work fine for a 2" avic, tip it on its side ofcourse.

I use to have an A.avic, i bought it for $35, it was 3". i think i got ripped off but i dont care, i loved him. Yes him, he matured a couple of months after buying him and was shipping off to another member of these boards to be mated, they did it. Sadly though, the female died, and now my baby is his, I loved him but i didnt want to go through the trouble of shipping prices and everything so i let him keep it. I know hes in a good home.

I kept an adult in 2.5 gallon. 2" is quite small and they don't grow up to be huge either.
