How many T's

How many T's did you get the first time you got into the hobby? I am guessing most started out with one, then went from there. I started out with 5.

Then A. seemani, A. avicularia, B. albopilosum, E. murnius, P. murinus...

Can't really remember where it went from there. Suffice to say I had about 15 within the first month.

That was 10 years ago. Now I'm around 600, most slings from sacs I produced. I've got about 120 or so in my personal collection.

I'm pretty sure I started with one, the first day. By the end of the week I had every tarantula that was being sold in any store within 20 miles of Des Moines, Iowa. Which meant that I had about a dozen roseas, a couple Avics. and a couple seemannis! Within three months I had over a hundred, thanks to internet ordering!

Within 2 months it was over 30.

It has been a bit over a decade now and we have around 300+ in our personal collection not including the recently hatched slings.

I started with 1 T, Avic avic wich arrived at the local petstore on 2008 halloween day and i got to tell some ppl on the way that asked what i had on that box and i said.. it's a tarantula and there is no harm x) hehe... april 2009 i got my second... a b.smithi... now... 12/01/2010 my 05/01 order has been sent from england to me with a N.chromatus, G.pulchripes(former aureostriata(spelling?)), and the one... G. Rosea ;o lol!

I started with one... you can probably guess: a WC G. rosea female from PetCo. (which I no longer own)

I had just the one for a few months before I ordered a G. pulchra sling from e-spiderworld (and received a tiny 1/4" G. pulchripes sling as a freebie).

It All starts w/ One

Mine was a Versicolor.........Then I "got it Bad", like most of the rest of you.

Bein' lucky enough to see them breed and produce early on.......Increased my fascination!

Hey "Mickey"......."New River" is a *nice* Sp. huh? One of my friendliest T's!

Now, about a week later, I've got another Rosea, an L. Parahybana, and an A. Aviculara.

Tuesday I am getting another OBT and an O. Gadgili, and ordering a few more from Ken the bug guy

Spring of 07 i bought a Male G.Rosea at Petco,but little did i know,it wouldnt eat for 3 days so i took it back and swapped it out for a Female.

i started with 1, a B.emilia...then 2 weeks later got 2 more, a B. smithi and a B.vagans...then1 week later got another B.emilia. same week got a G.rosea. then 2 weeks after got 2 more, an A.versicolor and an A.metallica...so i have 7 now but plan on a few more here real soon
