I am not even sure actually, last time I counted I had 200 something, but I have bought 40 something since then. So I might be around 300 now. With 2000 smithi slings......:D
I think, hmmm ya 11 different species or so. New sacs just dropping so the numbers are bound to go up some more!

I know I 'm out of topic; :?
How do you take care of all your Ts?
How do schedule feeding, fill up water dish, tanks cleaning, etc.?
I'm just curious.
Thanks

I just hit the 2584 mark, which doesn't count my 1st instar H. lividum slings. In addition, I've also got a C. elegans sac, C. bechuanicus sac, H. maculata sac, and now a freshly laid B. angustum sac. My B. vagans enclosed herself two days ago, too, but I don't yet see webbing.

The hubby and I have been joking about hiring someone from the local temp agency to come in twice a week to help feed and water. Yeah, I can just visual that interview.

Dont ask me ask Varden good grief. She puts my collection to shame.
I just work in sections. Pokies get fed once a week on weds. And misted almost daily. Brachys get thurs, all others get fri. Its easy actually. Thats the beauty of Ts. As long as you give them what they want they dont need to be walked or burped, or changed, they just sit and exist. Thats why I love them. I make sure I have an hour a day to tend to them and its easy.
Plus with my sleeping disorder I just sometimes sit in there with a flashlight and watch the Ts to their thing. I know when everyone has molted. I know where I bought them and when. Lablers are the best. ;)

Naw, man. You're catching up! :D

I don't work outside the home. I'm fortunate enough to be blessed with a hubby willing and able to support both me and the spiders. I don't have children or a social life, so I pretty much do spiders all day long. I spend about 8-12 hours depending on what I'm doing in the spider room. I feed adults 1x weekly, and slings 2x weekly, and water everyone 2x weekly, and my mother comes 2x weekly to visit and help. We are designing a "perfect" set up so that misters come on automatically, watering the Ts enclosure on a schedule. Temperature and humidity are controlled in the Hopefully Gravid Mama's room, which is also where slings and the mechanical mom are located.

I also know when everyone molts and keep track of who's eating habits are changing in such a way as to suggest an upcoming molt. Everyone is labelled with their name, genus, species, purchase date and gender, and I keep up a spread sheet that keeps track of molts, breeding, and other subsequent breeding information.

It's starting to become a full time job. :) I did, however, include my sling count in my total number. My Keepers number 523. I really need to update my sheet.

Varden, you're my hero. Your setup sounds like something from Jurassic park, for some reason I keep picturing that mechanical arm rotating the eggs, but instead, it's rolling around on a wheeled base dropping crickets for the T.s

Makes my setup sound stone age. Haha. I have one Rubbermaid container on the coffee table in the living room as a centerpiece (makes great conversation over coffee XD, and the other in my room.

I always get the "What's in there?" question.

Oh and to answer the question of this thread! Two so far, but more are planned... like 6 more...

Just starting...

i haven't kept T's in over 10 years. Last month - April 14th, i received a C. crawshayi 2" CB sling for a birthday gift. i thought i would be perfectly happy with that T and had no intentions or desires to have more. Well... i don't know what happened exactly :? but since then (just a month later) my collection has grown to 15 and more on the way. i have absolutely forbidden myself to buy anymore T's this month and it shouldn't be too hard because now i'm broke!! As nearly all of these are slings, i am going to save up and try to add some mature females to my collection.

So far my collection consists of:
0.0.2 Brachypelma emilia
0.0.2 Brachypelma vagans
0.0.1 Citharischius crawshayi
0.0.1 Grammastola aureostriata
0.1.0 Poecilotheria Pederseni **my newest and coolest addition:cool:
0.0.6 Psalmopoeus irminia
0.0.2 Pterinochilus murinus

and by next week i'll also have:
0.0.? Aphonopelma seemanni
0.0.2 Brachypelma albopilosum
0.0.2 Brachypelma sabulosum
0.0.2 Ceratogyrus brachycephalus
0.0.2 Pterinochilus murinus **bcuz 2 just wasn't enough!!:D

i don't think i left anyone out...
