For my T stirmi I usually introduce about 25, then watch to be sure the population doe not get too high. She is in a 50gal enclosure.

50 gallon!? I am about to order a T stirmi and I always read 20 gallon was about the max space they needed. Am I wrong, or are you just into bigger enclosures? I'm not judging, I just want to make sure I do things right when I get her home. ordering a juvie and figured i'd start her in a 10 and move her up to 20 later. maybe i should start a different thread but this answer just surprised me so i had to respond.

Besides the pointless reason for doing it...How do you watch that the population doesn't get to high?

I have built a natural vivarium in an effort to recreate her natural habitat. It is a beautiful display and she uses every inch of it when comes out at night. Does she "need" a 50gal, no not really, but I want her to have it and I enjoy creating and maintaining a micro habitat. A 20gal will be fine for yours.
Besides, I tend to lean towards larger enclosures rather than smaller, the species I keep use the space.

I do not find the simple enjoyment of observing my tarantulas "pointless". As for the isopod population, they are out and active at night so, easy to watch.
