Guys I just want to say this is a very informative thread. I have a B.Albiceps that just went thru his last molt. He now has his hooks on his front legs. He also appears to have spun his sperm web based on the pics I saw.
I intend to breed him as I know where I can get a big female.

One question I have though... This female I can get. The owner said She was sitting on an eggsack about 2 months ago that was invaded by flies and destroyed.
Is there a length of time to wait before she will be able to make another eggsack? Or be ready to breed.

if i remember rightly you can probably try breeding but it may not come to much of anything. She may have already gotten well into her molt cycle by now so there would be a good chance she would just molt instead of making another egg sac.

ayi. Trying again tonight. Put him back in with the female that had lunged at him the other night.

Took 15 minutes for him to make his way to her cage. Then a 15 min. nap. she moved from sitting in the fake leaves to go hide in her flower pot, then decided to go out and around to hide under it.. He eventually moved to where she originally had been on the fake leaves. He got all excited and was like twitching and doing push ups. She then came out from under her flower pot and hung on the side of the tank. Then a 30 min. nap ensued. I finally nudged him awake. He then moved to go on top of her flower pot. A few moments later he touched her leg. She then turned and walked away from him and out towards the middle of her cage near the fake leaves. He then got all excited again and did some twitching again. He got a little confused and tried to walk out of the cage. I redirected him back in. He then goes to settle down on the other side of the fake leaves.

Now we are back to nap time. sigh. at this rate I don't think I ever see any breeding goings on lol. It's been over an hour now since I put the cages next to each other and nothing to really show for it.. was nice to see the male getting a little excited this time around though.

bah.. called it quits after 3 hours. I nudged the male again and he didn't do much of anything. had been sitting in a chat room passing the time while keeping an eye on the spiders next to me.. turn to type something and then look back and the male is now shot across to where the female was, and the female was suddenly teleported on the far side of the cage hanging on the outside.. never saw it happen.. blink of an eye geeze. He's finally getting up the courage, and she goes all chicken on me.... few days ago it was the opposite with these particular two.
