Hello,

I bought a Grammostola pulchripes on the 27th of april and I still havent recieved my tarantula yet. I'm tracking it but it should be here by Monday. I need help because I'm very scared on losing this girl due to the rare opportunity of finding a female chaco golden knee in my area. I need help.

What’s the temps where it is traveling? That would be my biggest concern.

If she was packed well, she will be fine. As CJJon told you, one of the most inportant thing is what temperature is doing outside while the T is traveling. The other one obviously is the packaging.

If it's packed well and temps are good then they can survive for quite a while. I've had tarantulas sent from Poland to the UK which can take up to a week and they've been fine.

In the right conditions and correct packaging they can easily survive for a week or more without issue.

I had box with a bunch of T's, plus scorps and trues, take 5 days to get to me in the middle of winter, high temps in the forties. All were fine.

Longest Ive had T's stuck in the mail was 4 days in the fall. slings and juvies were fine. if its up to me I always try to go overnight. the risk isn't worth it.
