What about air? How long could a 2i breathe in a 1" round container with no air holes? I was reading about c scuplts online once and they said they could go 6 months without food! That seems like an awfully long time so I wonder...

The reason I said a long time is because it depends on various factors.

How much did it eat before fasting
What instar
What specie
What's the temperature

Scorpions have been reported to survive about a year without food.
But I don't know what specie, instar, etc. so I can't tell you an amount of time that's universal for all scorpions.

All I can say is a long time...

No one has a log on each of the 1,300 species at every instar, so I wouldn't know the exact amount.

But I would guess a couple months.

some scorpions can lower their metabolism to less than that of a carrot. ive heard of one unknown arizona species species falling behind a couch in an airtight conttainer and still being alive when it was found six months later with no food air or water

I read 3 years for an H.arizonensis no food just watter.

A month without food is okay, for as long as they don't get dehydrated.

I have some species, like Lq, who would only eat once a month.

I read an article before wherein some paleontologists excavated a fossil. The wrapped it in plaster cast to protect it during transport. I was then stored in some lab. 14 months after, they removed the cast and discovered that they trapped a scorp (I think it was a Centruroides sp.) inside. It was alive, but visibly hungry and dehydreated. It was posted here years ago.
