I am so so sorry if this is a stupid question! I want to edit one of my replies so that I don't spam a thread with a million replies but I can't seem to find a way to edit my reply? Is it a time sensitive sort of thing or something I'm just missing? Sorry again, I feel silly but I also don't want to spam and I'm still figuring out forum etiquette and the like.

on bottom left corner of your post theres an edit option dont remember if its limited time.or if you must have a certain amount of posts to edit. or just use the report option to ask an admin to delete for you

Thank you! I can see the edit button for some of my posts, but not all. For this one I can see it, but on some replies of mine I can't. Thanks again for the response!

There are time limits depending on your account type. Please see here for further details:

Hope that helps. :)

Hi so I feel bad I keep getting alerts that my posts have been merged I’m sorry I really don’t understand how to add on a reply for more than 1 question. I’ve read the tutorials and even the recent post by theramygalo quote and I read the highlight this and push reply I can’t figure this out. Can any one explain this in computer stupid talk? I don’t want to be giving ppl more work to keep fixing my mistakes and definitely don’t want to lose any privileges. I really am just dumb with this it’s like a different language. Thanks for any help. And I guess I should give an example so anyone can help me. When it says a post has been merged I’ll look and it’s combined 2 posts into one post. Thanks again!!

Are you looking for information regarding editing a post you already made? If so, what is the approximate time frame in between the posts?

Or are you looking to avoid making multiple posts one right after another, with quoting multiple people?

The thread you mentioned explains both ways. :)

Once you posted something, you have a limited time to edit. If you want to add a quote, to an existing post you did, it is a bit of work, but easy.

You start by clicking REPLY, on the post you want to quote and add to the post you already did.

It will open a fresh new post, with things like this [quote. You COPY the whole thing. From the begining of [quote, to the end of quote].

Then, you go into the post you want to edit, that is the post you made.

You click EDIT.

Then, you PASTE what you previously copied. You can erase the parts you want to leave out.

Then, if you want to add to it, make sure you do it after the quote].

I hope this vulgarization helps.

Ok this does help lol idk why ur wording made a little more sense to me!! I read your post and it made zero sense how others explained it!! I think I’m replying single to each post and I need to do it in one big post to everyone? Idk but I’m going to try! Actually maybe I will try in this post so if it doesn’t work I can ask a more specific question!

Thank u let me read and see if I can do this the right way!!!
K let’s see if this works. And is this what it means when they say my posts have been merged?

Omg it worked!!!! I’ll just edit my excitement onto this post while I’m at it!!! lol I’m not even joking I could not figure this out for the life of me!!! Thank u so much😘

If you have not made a post, and want to reply to many people at once, but in ONE post,

click QUOTE, on every post you want to reply to.

then at the bottom, where you would write your post, you click INSERT QUOTES.

that will then show you all the quotes and you can then select the ones to add.

Just click on, and highlight any word, line, sentence or paragraph you want to quote, when you do, you will see "quote" and "reply", click on quote, then you can highlight another and do the same over and over. When you are done, you will see "insert quotes"...click on that and you will see all of the highlighted quotes you have chosen, then click the quote messages and you are done.....its really self-explanatory as you go along the process.

lol now that I had help figuring it out I can’t believe it was that easy! But I also have only recently started using my phone for anything other then calls and texts like a little over a year ago or social media too actually so I kinda feel real behind or confused lots. So thank u everyone for helping me!! I will say now though I’m addicted to tik tok videos I still miss house phones though where if I’m out hiking or busy no one can interrupt 😭😭
