What's wrong with chloropicrin?

Commonly misused as a chemical warfare agent, poorly regulated for decades, environmental hazards, and most recently banned in the US except under extreme safety precaution measures. Was sold over the counter for decades in agricultural applications and now determined a latent human health hazard on crops directly and indirectly exposed.
