So, yesterday I was moving heaters around in the Invert/reptile section of the Zoo where I work and i came across this (relatively) little fella.

Now, being in the UK, I immediately thought House Spider (Tegenaria domestica), the obvious/ common ID.
However, there was a veteran arachnophile visiting during my discovery.
He was adamant it was not T. domestica but a Hobo spider (E. agrestis)

I live on the Isle of Wight, which would make it very, very unusual...

From what I've researched, it seems like they are quite difficult to identify...
I'm a pretty novice spider/tarantula keeper, so I just wanted your guys opinion :)
Picture is $#ite but I can provide more (and better quality) when I get home in a few hours... IMG_20190504_180333414~2.jpg

Unless you live in the Serengeti, "When you hear hoofbeats, think of horses not zebras."

E. atrica and E. agrestis look similar to one another, but given that one is common where you live - and the other isn't - I'd go with E. atrica. You can rule out T. domestica because your spider doesn't have the banding on the legs.

Cheers guys.
And thanks for the clarification.

... I knew that guy was full of 'poo' -
I shouldn't doubt myself so much, but I should definitely do more research on my 'House Spider' details...

:)
