Hi,
I was wondering if (what I am guessing are common house centipedes) could be kept together in one container? My friend may be bringing me five ones from the basement of his work place.

If I do get some I will post pictures :) I may offer them online if I get babies or something :D ;)

And also any care tips are welcome :)

Any predators kept in one tank has the potential to reach a quick end, although Scutigera coleoptrata seem to be found in good numbers per basement out where you are. Since you have five coming, put two together and see how they respond?

Set them up as an arboreal, with hides and a slightly moist substrate. They will drink from a misted tank wall. Those that I've kept shied away from prey that was too large so go with pinheads and smalls(if you're feeding crickets).

If their not overly huge it would be easier for me to house them separately, I was just wondering as having babies is never a bad thing ;)

I feed all my stuff crickets, as my mom is allergic to roaches. I was planning on feeding them small/pinheads.

Is there a way to sex them?

I used to keep a few, they were great fun to hold. I would say that they most likely would end up just munching on each other if kept together, from past experience.

I will keep each separate then :) Thanks everyone for all the info :D

These look so weird, they don't even resemble most centipedes I have seen.

I don't know yet if I will even be getting any, but it doesn't hurt to be prepared ;)
