So yup... my suspicions were correct. My B. vagans is most def. Male. Quite suprisingly to me he hooked out and matured with last Saturdays molt. The second molt in my care. He's finally popped out of his hide tonight so I could get a good look at him. He has gained crazy size with his molt. LS of old exo was 4 inches. Cant get a ruler to him but holy moly those legs are loooong. I must confess to feeling a bit bummed as I now know he wont be around for as long as I would like. Aquired in Feb as a wee bit of a thing I cant believe his growth rate. I shouldnt be so suprised. City heat and crap AC in summer means living in a hot apt. Year round. I only run the AC in that room for the spiders.

poor looee, i hope you find someone who wants him.. but 7 months aint too bad for a male to mature, iv had males mature out in 6 months from 1/2"-3/4" and i keep my room minimum of 75 degrees. so sounds about right ^_^ the smaller the T the less time it takes ofcourse.. i have a P. sp purple iv had like 9ish months and has now hit the 5" mark still no gloves -.-

I did think about that... But to be honest I have approximately zero confidence in packing a rather leggy spider.

thats why they make 32oz if i can receive a 5 and 6" fm tarantulas in a 16oz im sure youl be fine puting a male in a 32oz its all about how much padding you use [ie 3" need seemingly 95% padding in a 16oz, as a 5-6 need like 20% but i prefer my adults in a 32oz after my last one was stuck in her tightly packed 16] your only worry should be him hairing you or bolting if your not quick on the draw

Yeah, the truth is that properly packing a t is much easier than one might expect.

The first time I did it I was clueless and packed waaaay too loose, but it wasn't being shipped, just taken in a car by people that were not going to jeopardize the t in the ride. After just that one time, I was easily able to re-create the great packing that you see from the best dealers and have yet to have a single loss in dozens of pack jobs since....so it really doesn't take too much practice to get it right.

hmm.. i suppose you could pack too loose.. maybe because iv shipped herps for years it seems easy for me? but ofc verts are simpler to ship [but i have had more damaged geckos on overnight in a months period, then T's on on both overnight and 2day ever]i know a time or two i went to pack a T only to not know how big they actually was relaxed and packed it a bit tight, only to have to remove the inner most layer and shorten its thickness/length... but then again youl never learn if you dont try, also dont wana try and fail tho =\ the delemma lmao

Id def take a look at stamps vid on it, jose has one running around of an unboxing (dk if hes shown how he does it)here but jose has like the only 6* packing ever i swear he puts $12 into packing alone per order lol but stamps should give you a great idean plus if you ever ordered adult Ts before recheck how they was packed (use gloves plz) and get a good idea on how they do it, youl find your own comfort zone, as well as if your like me, you may even find your own favorite brand of paper towels (i myself have a favorite for slings, and a favorite for adults, adults may take a half a role of towels tho just depends what brand you use, the Ts size and how u fold them)

No T's shipped to me to check at this point. 3 of my 4 were rescues. This B. vagans was my only purchase but from a LPS.
