hmmm...this is premolt right?

ok so ive had this desert hairy for almost a year or so. it is only about 3 to 3.5 inches from mouth to tail. im assuming its still not full grown and its in premolt.


now my question is. how long will this thing be in premolt?! its been fat like this for almost 6 months! i havent fed it in at least 2 months...mainly because it refuses food. so what do you all think?

looks too small to be an adult
but it could easily be premolt.
does it have the conditions to molt?
they need 6-8" of sand, with a high humidity down there to molt successfully

oh yeah..i had to dig it up to take that pic. it has about 11 inches of sand/potting mix packed solid. it has a few nice tunnels running along the sides of the enclosure. and one side at the base is always moist. which is when she hangs out 99% of the time.

im just wondering whats taking so dang long...been fat just like that for 6 months or so now.

yeah it looks like immature and very possibly premolt.
it will molt eventually.
my 6instar a.craussicauda hasnt molted for about 1.5yrs. actually near 2yrs.lol

WOW....It hasn't eaten in 2 months?!?!? Let's hope that it gonna molt soon. To be honest with you, all of my desert hairy scorpions were acquired when they're adult. But 3-3.5" is kinda small to be an adult, so it quite possible that your might molt 1 more time.

thats ... thats pretty plump dude.. looks like its about to burst lol. any chance it could be gravid or are we pretty sure that its premolt?
