I bought a Forest scorpion, just wondering if any one can help with species identification. It was sold to me as a spinifer.

Looks like an FS to me. If the telson is yellow tinted, which it doesn't look to be, then it could be an emperor. But I think you got what you paid for. Cant wait for mine to get that size.

Indeed, it's difficult to ascertain a solid ID without a better picture. Do you have another picture that we can see the telson of the specimen, as well as one that we are able to see the pedipalps more clearly?
