My hermit crab Herbert died about a week ago, leaving me with no hermit crabs (the other one died awile before that). We found him hanging out of his shell, dead. We put him in a burial casket and stopped misting his tank and removed his food and water bowls. Fast forward five or six days and I bring a friend of mine up to my room to see Serket, my scorpion. As I walked past the now-empty terrarium, I saw some thing: a few hermit crab legs, darting back inside the shell. My hermit crab had come back from the dead. The body hanging out of the shell? A molt.:biggrin::laugh:

LOL. I'm sure that's the happiest mistake you've ever made. I had a similar experience recently with a B. albopilosum sling that I was not expecting to molt so soon. Fortunately, my concern was short lived, as I discovered the freshly molted sling shortly thereafter. ;)
