No. With a 2-3 year life cycle, rearing them as feeders would be enormously impractical.

My cousin went to Africa two years ago to take pictures of a native culture there and I believe he had a taste of those guys. The natives there catch them in trees where they live in holes made by birds or other bugs. He told me the natives chop the trees down and eat it. They gave him a try and he said they taste kind of like cheeze.

I saw once in a show on TV some natives eating some worms like those...... well they must have tasted like cheese cause they cooked them with cheese, it was like pizza :}
