Does anyone know what these white parts are on my sling? On the left upper legs where it connects the legs to the carapace. I'm thinking it might be a mite or fungal infection mabey. There are mites in the enclosure but I don't see them on my sling often. The slings about to molt soon hopefully shed that white stuff. Any insight is appreciated!

It almost looks like poop but need more info.
Does the white stuff move?
Has your t's behaviour been different in any way since you noticed the white stuff?
When exactly did you notice the white stuff?
What does your spood food eat, is there any chance it could be spood food guts?
All this info could help find what this is.

A better pic of the white stuff would help to 😊.

It looks like feces. For now.

since theres a same textured white spot on the chelicrae, thats why i am saying that.

but it could be something else. Only a higher detailes photo would tell us more.

could be dried food fluids.

if its mold, it would like wispy like fine fairs/webby.

how long has it been there?

if you get tarantula in a very small catch cup with holes, using a moist qtip, you could take a swab and see if it wipes off. If it does then its just poop.

if its mold, it will come off differently and you can get a close up.

what species is this?
