Hello everyone, big news and I need help! I didnt think this would be my first post, I barely found out about this site yesterday. I purchased a pink toe T which I thought was a juvenile a couple weeks ago. Today I looked in its container and found what appears to be an egg sac. I will attach a picture down below, I dont know what to do. I want to make sure to keep the babies and T safe. I am extremely worried because its enclosure is small and there is a very small cricket at the bottom which is still alive. I need help, I am really worried about the situation. I didnt know juveniles can have babies. What should I do to accommodate her? What should I do??😭😭😭 20210813_191740.jpg

What is truly concerning to me is that I do not see any or adequate ventilation on the sides.

you can wait and pull the sac later when it’s closer to having ewl’s.

I'd be more worried about the enclosure, it's totally not appropriate. Honestly I'd focus on getting that T out of there first then maybe incubate the sac if you wanted to try to hatch them - assuming it's viable, could be a WC specimen who has paired or just a phantom

I certainly wouldn't leave it like it is for a month, the T might not survive with it as is, but you disturbing them will probably trigger her to eat the sac.

I've not heard of juveniles producing sacs... They must be an adult surely?

The pet store told us to leave it in there til the first molt, we just got it. I had wanted to put it in another enclosure as well but they insisted to wait til the first molt. There are holes on top of the enclosure. We are going to take her to a different pet store today to see what's going on

Pet stores are useless giving advices, they can suggest you to keep them in a terrestrial enclosure with a hide or even with cedar bark substrate...

You should move her to a propper enclosure as soon as possible, with plenty of low and high ventilation holes.

For now make some holes at the bottom and at the top, trying to not to disturb her.

Read these posts if you have any question:

You can safely discard all pet store advice they seriously have no idea what they are doing - is this your first T? Prioritise the spider's health, put some side ventilation in that container asap

If you're looking to the pet shop for advice then i probably wouldn't even try to do anything with that sac - hundreds of spiderlings are not what you want to deal with

Thank you guys for the advice, I will definitely add more ventilation. It's scary because I dont want to hurt the T or its babies.

Your babies... Hundreds of them, if you don't see yourself capable of raising them, it'd be better to contact with a breeder, before it's too late.
