Nothing really seemed off with him earlier other than a little bit of slipping off of walls, but now he’s on his back. His legs are still moving but he’s a little curled up. I fed him about a week and a half ago and he has access to water. Is this the death curl or premolt???? Please help!

I cannot really distinguish if it is matured or not, but if it is indeed a matured male, nothing much you can do about it.

That is, only if it is a matured male lived its full life.

He wasn’t able to climb as much recently when I got him and he only molted twice in the time that I had him. He would also only eat one cricket every three weeks, even when I tried to feed him more (I assure you, I removed them from the container if they died). Is that indicative of a mature male?

Looks like a male. Avics don’t molt without heavy webbing of an area to molt in.

Sorry for your loss. If you ever do decide to get another of this size, look out for the palps.

As the great @PidderPeets once said, "Easiest way to tell whether it's a MM or not is if the pedipalps still have "pink toes". If it doesn't have pink tipped pedipalps anymore, it's a mature male".

Thats really a bummer.

if you can share more photos of it (if its really dead),

showing the hooks and all, so we can confirm, it would be appreciated.

mature males unfortunately dont live as long as do females.

It sucks you were sold this unkowningly.

nothing you could have done would have changed its fate.

its time to get an avic sling.

Is there anything I can do to help him?? I got him a year and a half ago and the people at the pet store said he was only a baby.
Pet stores are notorious for having no clue about the animals they sell. It was probably an adult or sub adult .

i think its both: either they don’t… or in fact, they actualy do.

underpayed and overworked staff, that have a passion for animals, have a definite incentive to sell. People who work in pet stores, know what they are doing.

they chose not to know if you want my opinion.

i know its possible that some staff are just completely unaware because a job is a job. Put in petshops, no one should be hiring people who don’t love animals. No matter what they pay.
