help!!! my scorp gave birth

uhh...IDK where to start but IDK what to do since this is the first time this thing happened to me....my scorpion gave birth it's a uroctonus mordax and I'm really worried that the mom might eat the babies...and it is housed with a mature male...

do I need to remove the male or just keep it in there?...
and when will I feed the female? I'm afraid it might eat the babies if it's not satisfied with it's food.....

take the male out and house him separate. When the babies come off the back separate them into their own deli cups.

EDIT:also you can feed her a crushed cricket or roach in a few days. I just dropped a roach with a crushed head into her tank.

Also just let her be and try not to stress her out

I always separate my females while they are still gravid. The mature male may very well stress the female out enough to eat the babies. If you can remove the male without causing stress to the female the id say go for it. Otherwise you can wait till the babies molt to 2i which should be within a week or so to make your move. I'm not very familiar with that species so I don't know how easily they stress.

crush the head of a cricket and put it in the enclosure, but don't try to put the cricket near her. If she is hungry she will find the dead cricket and eat it. I know that my V. spinigerus (my first brood) she didn't eat for a while after she gave birth, but I did offer dead food in the enclosure for her.

i'm also waiting on my U. Mordax to pop... I HOPE its Gravid... it stays fat after a week of not feeding and eats everything.

how long did yours take gestationwise?

and it just gave birth like 3 hours ago....
so i really don't know....

haha its okay. i got mine in may and shes been really fat. glad to see i have another month and wasnt sold it for nothing. she finally made her own burrow too.
