Help! Injury?

My B. Auratum has had a bald spot since I got her. She climbed up to the lid yesterday and I got her off with no visible issues. But I just got home and her abdomen looks wet and injured and I’m wondering if she fell while I was gone. I got her into a Rubbermaid container with some holes in it and dumped cornstarch on it in case it’s a rupture but is there anything else I should do?

That T flicked hairs, normal. Don’t dump cornstarch on it, flicking hairs is normal its what a T does to protect itself

As for falls, can we see a pic of your whole enclosure? Sub should be dry for this T & no rocks

Looks like rubbed off setae , not a fall injury. More pics of the cage though could be helpful.

It’s very wet and gooey and there’s a bit beside the bald spot that the skin looks torn. I’m quite familiar with hair flicking, this is fluid.
Sub is dry, no rocks. Just some moss. Her hide is aquarium wood though, and it is hard. It’s been partially buried and beneath it dug out so it’s like a little cave.

Either I'm missing it or the "gooey" does not show up in the photo. I zoomed in and I still do not see this gooey you are talking about.

Bald spot yes, that's from kicking UrS, normal. Have you inspected the underside of the tarantula?

I believe you, and from your description it sounds like you know what happened - it fell when climbing and ruptured it's abdomen. There's nothing else to do but hope the cornstarch can stop the loss of hemolymph sufficiently and wait. The outlook is not good, unfortunately. Keep checking, reapply cornstarch regularly, and make sure it has plenty of clean water available.
