Help identify this mite?

To our mite expert friends, does this look like Stratiolaelaps scimitus (formerly Hypoaspis miles)? I was cleaning some flowerpot fungus out of my isopod enclosure and found these tiny additions—even smaller than grain mites. I also have springtails in there (Pseudosinella violenta, intentionally added) and fungus gnats. I think these are just naturally occurring and predating on everything else, but everyone seems happy (there are plenty of isopods and springtails). Any other thoughts? Assuming I’m right I intend to leave them be (not like I could do anything, anyway…).

I don’t think you can identify it based on this pic. You’d need microscope images to confirm a species
And even then, good luck. It resembles Bdellidae, soil mites, which narrows it down to eleven? genera and around 250 species.

Understood, thanks very much. With that though, I presume soil mites would not be harmful to the other (intentional) inhabitants?

I disagree that this is bdellidae (snout mites) , imo it looks like some sort of mesostig.
