You'll quickly figure out that Ts are possibly the easiest animals to care for, as long as you have a bit of logic. 3 requirements: heat(but i hear you are in portugal, so that should'nt be a problem), moisture and really occasional food. give them attention? go out for a walk? cut their nails? take a bath? brush their fangs? NEVER. Tarantulas must be the easiest and most interesting pet to care for in my oppinion.
I personally started with an Avicularia versocilor, and I must say it still is my favorite T, active, good eater, beautifull and makes nice webs. Avics are not really harder to care for than others, you just have to give them more moisture and ventilation. Ventilation is all set by drilling enough holes in the lid, and moisture is OK by flooding the substrate max once a week if you happen to live in a really dry place.
Hope you have a lot of fun observing your new bug!
