Heating tape and Styrofoam

Just curious if anyone has had any problems with heat tape melting styrofoam at about 80-85 degrees?

I know the snake guys put their plastic storage containers right on top of the Flexwatt heat tape, but there's a thermostat in the circuit. That keeps the heat level manageable.
