Heating Plastics?

I was just wondering if anyone had any insights on how to heat plastic critter cages. Thanx!=D

I personaly heat the area they're in. Instead of attempting to heat individual containments. Aquareums are different. You can do those rather seperate. But if you have a bunch of critter keepers, vails, cups and jars. Just heat an area.

My advice anyway.

i stuck a small heating pad on the side of one of my plastic tanks. it is only 8watts so it won't melt the tank but it has raised the temp by about 12 degrees.

for a few tanks this might be an idea, but if you need to heat many it would be better to heat the area instead.

Try this...............

If you have more than one plastic container
to heat........
Get a suitable size fish tank, put as many in it
as will fit, then use the heat mat to warm the whole thing! Presto, instant warm spot for all.
Last year when our power went out, I did this
and plugged it into the generator ( along with
the freezer) NO living thing was lost, No
frozen stuff lost either.=D :D
