Yeti is in Napal and he makes snow cones with yellow snow and leaves them for tourists by the trail head.;)

Its been re-worded apparently, because the 'scientific name' they used to give was literally blush-butt spider.

This wouldn't be the best way of determining if it was valid or not (it's a hoax, obviously, I'm just referring to this criterion). Most scientists don't even make a distinction between "poisonous" and "venomous" in their day to day vernacular and note-taking. Heck, J.G. Lewis, arguably the world's foremost expert on centipedes, in his book "The Biology of Centipedes", called their maxillipeds "poison claws".

So yeah, it's a nice tidbit to impress friends with at cocktail parties, but it's not a useful distinction.

In my presentations I tell people that a Poison is a toxin delivered by ingestion or absorption and venom is a toxin delivered hypodermically by means of a spine, stinger or fang. I say that not with animosity but like you say a "tidbit of info, but its no big deal in the grand scheme of things:)

^^ This is the way it should be done... unfortunately a lot of people as soon as they hear someone "screw up" and "use the wrong word" they're like "oooh, ooh, I know something you don't knowwwww!!!" :)

Yeah, and some languages as well. For example my language uses only one word for the two English words "poisonous" and "venomous".
