Harpactira Pulchripes looking very dark

perhaps yours is actually H. hamiltoni?
I don't know... the picture from before the molt looks like a H. pulchripes, including blue legs (or can the H. hamiltoni have blue coloration on the legs as well? In that case, never mind). I have seen pictures of older H. pulchripes specimen online which seem to have a relatively dark coloration as well (though the lighting under which the photo was taken is always a factor, of course).

I have had 2 hooked out H. pulchripes and neither looked remotely like yours, Yes they were dark, but also spindly with little fluff.
The photo of yours is so blown out it makes it hard to tell. H. pulchripes have very defined blue sections, almost like hard patches, your photo doesn't appear that way.
Even as slings the blue is well defined

Yea sorry for the edited photo, my boyfriend did all that for instagram and that’s the only picture I had of her. Her blue sections were pretty well defined, but she was never that bright gold.
