Melmoth,

Actually, my first ever specimen of that species came from a breeding of the UK by Ray.

Chris,

Unfortunatly, I wish it was gravid, but it is not. This species is from arid environment and tends to put up a lot of wait. We neglect them as much as possible, but they still accumulate too much weight for my taste.

Take Care

Steffen,

I wish I had one or two myself! Nothing for the moment.

See you soon

Did you breed the slings yourself Martin? They are very cute. What is the adult size of these?

Laura,

I never bred this species myself unfortunatly. Hopefully in a few years, who knows.

The big females I have at home are about 2" legspan I would say.

Take care

It's about time!;P I was starting to believe you were doing on purpose not to have this species at home!:}

Will they be those so called low land form? Yep, another one of those out there, I would be surprised if there would be a difference, the pictures I have seen show nothing different, just a spider pictured under different lighting.

Anyhow, a gorgeous species it is, when they do come out, they are a treat to the eye. Have fun with yours.

Take care

Martin

Okay, another to put on the "someday I'll have this species" list. Thanks again.

Haha, this is a species I've looked forward to raising for many years. 2 years ago when I had slings imported for me (the batch you see Tom posting pics of), all of mine died in transit :(

I haven't heard anything of this, so I'm not sure.

Are they difficult to acquire? From the sounds of it there aren't many (if any) located in the U.S. They certainly are beautiful. Good luck on getting some, and I hope they live, Eric! :)

There are a few, but not many. You can see pictures of Tom's (philth) in this thread. At least 2 other people had a couple slings from that import as well (can't swear those are still alive though).

Good luck on getting some, and I hope they live, Eric! :)
Thanks! :) Since I first began keeping tarantulas this is a species I've really wanted.
