Handling Millipedes? Help!

My two new millipede babies will be here tomorrow (Black and white ivory and yellow banded cherry foot) and I’ve seen mixed results on handling millipedes. I would love to be able to hold them and pet them regularly but I want to be sure I’m not hurting my babies.

I already know not to pick them up when they’re showing defense mechanisms, when theyre molting, wash your hands before and after, and let them crawl on your hand voluntarily, but would it hurt them to hold them once a day or so? Please let me know! 🫶

You could do whatever you want, just know they might get stressed if you pull them out of their environment every day.
