checked on my millipede today and took her out for some handling, only to realize that about 3/4 of her body is completely limp and motionless. her front legs were and head were moving, although that was it. she was on top of the substrate when i found her, but ive never seen her burrow. i just checked on her and shes still in the same state. on her side, only her head moving and reacting when i spray water.

is she close to death or is this just molting? shes so very precious to me and i hope shes not in pain. any advice is very appreciated

And any of her enclosure?

Sorry this is happening. It's probably best you don't handle her.

Pictures can sometimes reveal clues that might point to the problem.

How dry/moist it is, of ventilation is adequate, etc. I would attach another picture of two of the entire enclosure from the outside and one that might reflect or allude to a moisture gradient in your substrate. Moisture is hard to capture but a gradient can usually be seen.

I don't keep millipedes just tarantulas but pictures tell a 1000 words 🧡

My main concerns are always dehydration and ventilation.
