I think it was hiding near the heat pump at the bottom of the fridge, and did its arboreal thing when I opened the door and startled it. This means it was reallllly close to my exposed feet. I panicked and shut the door when I saw him dart around, when I had composed myself and had a glass, I found him sitting on a shelf. Thankfully he was polite enough not to be camping on my beer!
