Recently had a E. cyano molt into a MM, so I thought I would post his full molt and feeding log from 2i to this maturing molt. From EWL to MM took about 18 months and 68 feedings (a "feeding" is usually one prey item around the size of the spider's body length... sometimes count one prey item as two feedings if it's large). Temperatures were 65-70F in the winter and 75-80F in the summer.

Born Hatched EWL 1/2013
Obtained 3/23/13 – 2i (0.25 in)

Feedings 7
Molt 4/25/2013 – 3i (0.5 in)

Feedings 6
Molt 5/30/2013 – 4i (0.75 in)

Feedings 7
Molt 6/29/2013 – 5i (1.1 in)

Feedings 6
Molt 7/30/2013 – 6i (1.5 in)

Feedings 9
Molt 9/27/2013 – 7i (2 in)

Feedings 11
Molt 12/24/2013 – 8i (2.75 in)

Feedings 10
Molt 4/16/2014 – 9i (3.25 in)

Feedings 14
Molt 7/24/2014 – 10i (3.75in) - MM

Obviously your results may vary... just thought some of you might find this interesting. Not going to dig him up for a current picture, but this was him at the end of last year:

That's an absolutely gorgeous tarantula you have there. Thanks for posting this thread, I have a little 3/4" Blue Fang sling and was wondering about how fast they grow.

Mine is the same size. I'm wondering this myself, as I've read from some sources that they're fast growers, but then I've seen others which say they're a slow growing species.

I've owned a few, I think they are relatively fast growers. Slower than P rufilata as a comparison.

I can't say they're fast growers since mine has yet to molt in my care, but they are definitely fast movers. Mine appears and disappears at the slightest disturbance.

What size is it, how long have you had it, feeding quantity and frequency? Curious now.

A couple of weeks so not very long at all. Its about 3/4 of an inch. I don't have a regular feeding schedule, I just feed mine whenever I feel they need feeding. If they don't eat within 24 hours, the prey item is removed.
