My G. Rosea seems to be doing this at least once a day, is it normal for Ts to 'groom' regularly or does it mean she feels gross with the substrate I have in there?

Tarantulas are like cats, sometimes they just clean up for the heck of it. Can't have a single fuzz out of place! :D

Yeah, its normal. Usually all the legs and the underside. If they get any particles of substrate in the hair on thier rump they will rub or scratch it out with a back leg and sprinkle bits all over.

Sounds pretty normal to me. Some are more fastidious cleaners than others. I notice my terrestrials doing it more than my arboreals, which makes sense.

Here's a video I took of my GBB scratching its butt and other cleaning. It's 7MB, iirc.

I don't see mine grooming that often, but she does do it after every meal.
