Grooming or dying

Well i hope you can put my mind at rest.

For the last week or so, i have caught my avic lying on its side with four legs streched out, and with the other four, it kinda looks like its scratching its tummy.
The legs move back and forth very fast, and when it leaves them under the body it looks like the death curl.

None of my other spiders groom like this, and i am a bit worried because my other avic died like a month ago. Is this normal behavoir or does it sound a bit weird to you?

i too have seen this with my A.Avic. but it's just them trying to groom the back legs. in fact, it looked like he was trying to grasp the particles of substrate with his pedipalps.

Yeah just grooming by the sounds of it. Looks weird though doesnt it!

Make sure you're keeping her humid and sprayed often..

Alot of grooming sometimes indicates a case of nematodes in my experience.

When they're in an actual death curl, they aren't moving. If they're moving around, they're just cleaning up.

Yeah but they don't have too be dead right away by nematodes it sometimes takes weeks and you'll probably see the nematodes when the T is dead.
