I let the two I had go today but one had molted. I took a couple of pics before I let it go in case someone asked about it. Does the new look help with an ID?
The adult is a Coreidae. These are almost always plant feeding. Notice how the pronotum is both wider and long then the head. Now look at that nymph, it's pronotum is neither longer nor wider then the head. I'd bet that nymph is either a Nabid or a Reduviidae, both of which are predacious.
