Gravid female?

I have only had a scorpion about a month I was hoping to find out why he / she is so fat. I thought he was a male but then someone on Reddit said it was a female and gravid . Can someone shed some light on this subject ? Thank you all so much !

Looks to be a juvenile male, meaning it's likely going into premolt. It can take a while with Heterometrus. After being fat for a while, it'll stop eating and stay in its burrow for some time, going through the molting process.

okay thank you so much ! I thought he was a young male but after reading that on Reddit I was second guessing
