Hi, so I just got a Grammostola actaeon sling and I moved him into his terrarium, but he is still stressed and hiding. I have been reading about to just leave them alone for a few days, but I don’t know when to start worrying about him. Please keep in mind this is also my first sling and I am still learning. Anything tips or care advice will help. Thank you!

i've no idea what a " Brazilian Wooly black" is, hence why we use latin names instead of common names but i would assume its either grammostola sp or tlitocatl sp. Take a picture of your enclosure and spider and post it in this thread with the latin name and we'll be able to tell you what changes need to be made to your set-up.

ut he is still stressed and hiding.
So what? Observe it daily and see how it is, walking around, spinning web at some point (often not visible) etc. If you put in a cricket and it doesn't eat right away, IME, it's not hungry at all. This species never refuses food even when mildly hungry hah. Start to worry as the abdomen gets smaller, make sure it has a water bowl.

but I don’t know when to start worrying about him
You already seem to be if you are posting about it now hah. There's nothing to worry about, go back to enjoying your species. I have this one, they have an incredible feeding response, grow relatively fast and are not your typical Gram

My first T as well, and that's him in my avatar pic :) A picture of your enclosure will help. Mine actually was defensive and hair kicky until I rehoused him in a larger enclosure. The one he came in was adequate but small. In the larger set up he's out and about more often and not bolty or kicky. He just casually walks to his burrow and turns around to wait for food when I open his enclosure.

Hi, I got my Grammostola actaeon sling in March of 2021. I know they grow kind of fast, but he has molted twice this year and I believe he will molt in a couple of weeks. Is this something to be worried about? I only thought that they molted once a year. I could use some advice! Thank you!

No, why would that be something to worry about? Be glad.

Most slings will molt multiple times a year unless you have something like an A. Chalcodes sling which molts once every time all 7 of my lottery numbers come up

The younger they are, the more often they molt. Large adult spiders will space out their molts more and more as they get older. I have a 13+ year old B. boehmei that now molts every 3 years. Enjoy your G. acteaon, they are not the most widely available Grammo out there.

My G. Actaeon has white dots on his abdomen, I thought it was a wound but I can’t find a feeder left in his cage. Could it be mold?!
I’m not seeing anything unless it’s on the underside , could you circle ⭕ what I’m looking for ? I’d read this .all the information you need . Nice spider I gotta get one of those someday. I’d just make a new post and get some better photos of the full tank.
