I am currently keeping two 3in. C.Gracilis males and wondered just how long this species can survive in captivity?. Conditions are one cricket a week and a daytime temp/humidity of 30c/75% and night of 28c/80%.
ive heard 4 years, but that might be the WHOLE lifespan,
i dont keep this spp so dont take my word as fact, id wait till someone more experienced replies
Armas and Contreras found this species lives a total of a maximum 4 1/3 years and takes about 10 months to reach maturity, if they are 3in long they are mature or pretty much mature (I think), you should get a good three years of adult life out of them, altough being males the life span may well be considerably shorter.. Hope that helps.
Thanks, I was thinking it might be under 5 years. As far as size goes, there are many factors involved there, I have obtained scecimens in the past that were at least 4 inches long. I hope that mine might have another moult left in them.
