I get it they slip through the cracks (not that one from my collection has). Sometimes what seems like a really confident T can just be extremely lethargic. Only realised when I got it home and into its new enclosure. Really stubborn to move and when it finally moved it was so slow and laboured. Obviously I checked the basic signs the abdomen didn't seem shrivelled at all. I placed it with a water bowl and slightly over filled it (P. Auratus so I'm keeping the top most layer generally dry the layers underneath are moist though). I watched this poor soul move slowly over to its water bowl and drink the whole thing. pretty much... poor wee guy had been water deprived. Devoured 2 medium crickets and is now happily burrowing. Doubt ill see him for a wee while now till he recovers.
Honestly I'm posting this because I'm angry about the whole situation. How long did that little fella go without real water. At that from someone who I thought loved these 8 legged beauty's as much as I do.
Remember everything needs to drink and eat, just as much as you do.
