You said you handle all of your T's? How many times have you been bitten?

i think this is a somewhat entrenched and bogus concept in invertebrate handling. i hope almost everything i own at some point, and to date have been envenomated by one Anuroctonus scorpion. Look it up to find out why that is funny.

I have held giant centipedes, adults and young of multiple species.

I have handled young OBT, psycho G. rosea. i have held all my scopions including young C. ecilicauda, adult C. vitattus, young B. jacksoni, adult Hardrurus.

I have never injured a captive bug i was handling, and to memory have only injured 2 of the 25-30 giant centipedes i've hand caught, no deaths.

I hold individuals, not species, if you know what i mean. Each individual has their own "personality", although that is a bad name for it. As long as i have estimated an individual to be a reasonable risk, i will handle.

I was just going to say, that if you haven't been bitten and have handled almost all of your T's then you seem to be doing fine and know what you are doing. I think some of the people on the forum worry too much about other people's tarantulas.
