Good place to buy emperor?

Hey I'm completely new to scorpions, I have been researching on them for a bit now. What vendors would you guys recommend for an emperor scorpion if they even sell them? I have two slings and want to try a scorp.

A quick search of imperator will net a couple sellers with recent classifieds as RTTB mentioned.
Also, at a recent Repticon, I seen where someone had them as well.

if you dying to have one right now although it is frowned upon in the community you coud go to a few local pets marts and see if they have one (there surprisingly common at petsmarts although usually not taken care of well id say if you go with this option ask them for the scorpion and when they start to tell you the rest of what you'll need just tell them to hecc off and fast walk away from them to another aisle or to a register) or go to another local pet store and from my experiences there usually pretty chill and good at taking care of there animals but i could be wrong


also you could go to the buy sell trade part of here and see if anyone has one has one for sale but definitely be a little cautious if your not deailing with a well known or professional vendor

and like @GenXtra mentioned cons are definitely a good place to go to for many different inverts so if there are any cons soon near by id set aside some money (definitely in the low tipple didgets cuz you never know how many things you'll want just make sure you know how to care for them first) and create a wish list with an emperor on it some where

there always is one last sad yet very real possibility of a post going up of a bad craigslist ad posted on the boards with an emperor in it and it happens to be in your area and you can be a hero and go pick it up off the incompiant owner but its pretty unlikely this will happen in the near future

I'm not sure that Petsmart carries emperors but Petco definitely has CB ones.

Imperators? They may not really be imperators being sold but a Heterometrus sps. that superficially looks like imperator. It's usually H. petersii they pose as imperator. Not that it's not worth having but it's wrong selling them as imperators, it bugs me.

From what I understand, there was a group of WC imports brought in either as dictators illegally or a small legal quota was released, not sure which. There is also a large CB colony that has been built since the import ban and is producing very well so more CB animals are slowly moving into market.

There was a member in the classifieds section that had a possible gravid female and male for sale. As for anywhere else that has them it's hit and miss and as others said, be careful as to not get scammed. P. Imperators are pretty nice to add to any collection though and great choice for starters
