Those birds are incredible, great video. And the music was enjoyable, I'd love to find a source for more.

This is not something you see very day.

I'm not usually one for sensational youtube videos but this popped up on the home page. Honestly, I was shocked, even considering the fact that golden eagles can take down very large prey. Since the eagle seemed to have bad intentions, this really was no laughing matter. Luckily the kid seemed to be none the worse for wear. ...
Here are three Snopes comments about this and similar instances.

Dog Gone!

Eagle vs Fox

However, it is important to note that most primitive cultures have myths or legends about eagles carrying away remarkably large prey, even small children, and many stories abound from antiquity, especially in rural or agricultural areas, about eagles attacking unusually large prey. While most of these are exaggerations if not outright fabrications, many of them probably do have some foundation in fact.

The specific video posted here is a clear, admitted fake. But, that doesn't mean that something of this nature hasn't actually been attempted by large raptors in real life.

Enjoy your little sojourn into fancy, but be wary. Very wary, indeed!

I've actually wanted to get into falconry. It takes a lot of time to get the license, and i have to train with someone for 2 years, at least in my state. I wouldn't do an eagle though, they eat too much on days i have to supplement them.
Same here in my state. I have rescued a Redtail Hawk with an injured wing before and had to take it to a licensed rehabilitator. Man are they interesting animals! I had it about a week and it was eating chicken and frozen mice out of my hand. Let me tell you though those things are messy!!! They literally can shoot their poop a few feet......

I would have kept it despite the licensing requirement, but I didn't have any barns or buildings on my land, which is really a NEED for these birds. A cage just isn't gonna do... I'd love to train one, I have watched several videos of people working with these animals. They are very, very intelligent.

So if you have the space and requirements I'd say go for it! Just don't advertise you have it..... I mean who is going to know it's not a wild one staying in your barn for a bit. No one here in Arkansas has ever been busted for having one to my knowledge, and they definitely aren't going out checking for them. They just care about messing with the Deer and Duck hunters here...... They won't even enforce the no Snake shooting law here.........Rednecks around me literally go shooting poor harmless snakes and turtles just for fun.......Sad stuff.....

Pics of The Hawk before I took it to the Rehabilitator:
(notice why I say you need like a barn to house these. It made the kennel that messy in just a few days)
