Gimpy Palp on Semmani - almost black? Bad?

I have noticed that my A. Seemani seems to have a "different" pedipalp. I didn't notice this when I bought it, but if you look at the attached picture, the front left palp seems to be smaller, and much darker.

Is this cause for concern? Is it infected - does it need to be autonomized? What do you think?

Looks to me like it lost it once and is in the process of regenerating it. Give it a couple more molts and it'll be good as new.

Yeah, our I. hirsuta lost a palp as a spiderling. With her next molt, it looked just like that and it was normal by her 2nd molt. Don't worry, the spider is fine and you get to witness regeneration without having to worry about the lost limb.

Thank you both - I noticed today that it was using that palp as normal - so hopefully s/he'll molt soon!!!
