My problem noob is that you are openly advertising you are a noob and yet, you are diagnosing a wet molt problem with a one sentence description and not even as much as a picture.

I'm glad you are here to stay, I really am... Eventually you will start learning things and your enthusiasm can be channeled somewhere useful!

I don't think you are dumb and I certainly am not questioning your degree-less medical career. What I am questioning is your ability to listen to advice of others.

There are those of us that definitely follow your posts... and that is to make sure "hacks" like you don't give out misinformation to people that genuinely look for information that is semi-accurate. If you had posts about "which spider is the greenest" and which spider is the "most cuddly" type threads, you wouldn't hear one iota from me. But you are a self proclaimed expert with one month of experience and two injured spiders.

SOUNDS LIKE and IT IS are two completely different things, dear.
AGAIN, MY T, WHO UNDERWENT A WET MOLD, AND LOST A LEG, NOW CURVES/BARELY USES/DOES WEIRD THINGS WITH ITS REAR LEG. NOW, IM NOT SAYING THIS IS WHAT THE OP IS DEALING WITH (done yelling) Because what is in the pictures is COMPLETELY different than what I have encountered. BUT IF IT WAS, YOU WOULDNT BE HARRASSING ME ANYMORE NOW WOULD YOU?

I PLAN ON LEARNING, AND you guys harrassing me about the FEW MISTAKES (wether they be LARGE ones or not-) ISNT going to help. at all. LET ME READ, LET ME ASK QUESTIONS. If I'm WRONG, CORRECT ME. Dont attack me like an idiot.

GET OVER IT. And seriously, find something more entertaining than bothering me ;P

Or atleast do it in PM. That way I can ignore you instead of having to repeat myself in EVERY THREAD that I VISIT.

Here guys, i've got a half decent pictures for you! You can really see clearly the curved leg in this pic, also, the other back leg I noticed is also slightly curved!

Honestly, After re-reading your original post, I dont think you have anything to worry about.

After my T (and you can see a picture of it in my images) First molted, One of its feet were a little deformed (and later turned out normal) BUT- It would walk on it funny, and wouldnt use it for climbing either. That was about 2 months ago. Now, It's still the odd Leg out of the bunch but it HAS gotten respectivly Better. I cant tell you why yours is curved, But give it time It may get stronger and somewhat straighten out. Especially so soon after molt..I would let it be for a couple days (no disturbances) and update us if it gets worse/Better.

I also have a FEELING, not 100% certain on this, that the other rear leg is being curved in imitation of the other though in the picture it seems to be okay? but again, that's a shot out of the dark.

See that spot in Red up above? Stick with asking questions... What you have done in earlier posts is give incorrect advice and diagnosed incorrectly! FAR CRY from reading and asking questions hunny!

I can dig up proof, but frankly, I'm losing steam on your useless posts.

Hey Shane, I have seen this before. It sounds like your critter molted and was hardening in a funky position. I have had it happen once or twice before.

What i've said in this post- was meerly (in my eyes) an inquiry.
What was said before, was the past and im over it, Dont even remember what i've said. And if it's pretaining to the Water dishes, let em drop joe, let em DROP.

If the T hasnt dropped the legs yet, they are still usefull and Proboly wont; So you shouldnt have anything to worry about.

Anyways shane! Looks hardened up funky, but i am sure her next molt will clear it up. Beautiful spider btw :) I never imagined that species gets its colors at 2 inches. awesomeness :)

To the OP. I have a T. sp burgundy that is 3" and i pulled the molt to soon and spooked my T. It was white at the time and i watched its tarsus move the opposite direction. After it hardened up they only go into that same reverse bend. Your T may have tried to move to fast and stretched its leg improperly causing the new exo to form oddly. And as someone posted above: It could have been hardening in an odd position. Another though. Could just be your T was in a odd position when it started the molt. Good question: Did it molt upright or laying on its back? Or possibly on its side?

Yes that seems to be the conclusion. Either it decided to move too much while it was soft, or it hardened in a funny position like yourself and CAK had mentioned.

And yeah, i'm kinda excited about it having that kind of coloration so small! It was even colorful on the last two molts before this one! A beautiful T indeed!

Good question, but I can't answer that one. I didn't get to see it molt, I woke up in the morning to a freshly molted T, which is never a bad surprise :)

Those are some of my favorite surprises too!!!!! I have watched well over 50 molts from start to finish... Trust me friend: it never gets boring!

Hey Joe, she trumped herself again {D

@shanebp, waking up to see a freshly molted spider is great. I woke up this morning and my H. lividum sling had molted, then I come back a few hours later and my other lividum sling had molted :D Now I'm waiting on my B. albo.

I didn't read this anywhere in the bickering, but does your T burrow or does it have a small hide?

It doesn't actually do any of either, its got lots of cover, but it seems to rather sit out in the open and relax.

Since it does neither, that killed my hypothesis. Maybe it was grooming the leg and got spooked and sat in that position.
